The sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist ("First Communion") are typically celebrated in the 2nd grade. Sacramental preparation begins in the 1st grade and enrollment in Faith Formation is required during both years of this two-year preparation period. Attending workshops is also required.
The sacrament of Confirmation is typically celebrated in the 8th grade. Sacramental preparation begins with enrollment in the 7th grade Faith Formation, and this is a two-year preparation period. Other requirements include attending workshops, service projects, and the mandatory retreat.
(Older individuals can also prepare for these Sacraments of Initiation, via the R.C.I.A.) Please don't hesitate to ask us any questions, about your particular situation. We encourage everyone to become fully formed and participating Catholics!
Faith sharing is life sharing! All classes are taught by volunteers. We are always looking for men and women willing to donate their gift of time and faith. Please consider the possibility of teaching in our program. Training is provided. If you are unable to donate an hour a week, there are many other opportunities to assist with other, short-term sessions. If you are interested in volunteering in any capacity, Contact Us at the Faith-Formation office:
